Once, when I was about 7, we went to my Aunt's house. She had this room for us to sleep in, which had this huge mirror that took up 1 side of the wall, and the other side had a shelf that had stuff animals in it. Anyways, one of the stuffed animals was a big monkey, kind of like a sock monkey, which scared me. Everytime I looked at that mirror, I thougt I saw the monkey move! It was slight, but I thought I saw it. I ended up sleeping on the couch that night, afraid that the monkey would come and get me in my sleep.

When I was in grade two or three, me and my friends were convinced all mirrors led to disneyland. Unfortunately, they were all closed for repairs when we tried to get in.
On that subject, my best friend told me that her mom lived on the great wall of China when I was in grade one. I belived her and asked her if I could go visit her many times. The answer was always "No, she's to busy" or somthing like that. So Then I told her MY Mom lived on the Efil Tower, but there was no Getting that past her!

I had this fear of mirrors and open wardrobe doors because I believed that spirits could claim me. I still make my mirror face the wall out of habit.

In my bathroom there were 2 mirrors, one in front and one in back on a door. I use to beleive that if you could see yourself mant times multiplied in the mirror then at the very end was a little person waving at you. But I could never see that far....

When I was little, I used to read a lot of ghost stories, and of course, a lot of these stories dealt with mirrors and things behind them. I had a door leading straight to the family bathroom and besides the monster under my bed (we'll get to that in another anecdote), I thought that if I opened that door (which had the HUGE mirror directly on the other side) I would see SOMETHING with red eyes.

I used to think that bloody mary would pull me into a mirror and I was SOOOOOO scared (elementary school age) I was almost driven to insanity, and my dad used t make me sit with my back to a mirror which made it worse but I got over it slowly in about 6 months.

I used to strongly suspect that every mirror was actually a tw-way mirror. This was easy to check at home, and I was pretty sure the house bathroom was okay since it faced an outside wall, and I checked closely to make sure there weren't any holes or anything like that.

Public restrooms on the other hand...

When I was little I was watching a movie (can't remember what movie now) in which a man tells a story about mirrors. He says when he was kid he was sitting on the toilet in a bathroom that two mirror facing each other. So he started to count the reflections back. When he got to around the 17th reflection he saw a little troll waving at him. I'm 31 yrs old now and even to this day I will not look into the continued reflections whenever I look in mirrors that face each other

I used to believe that when you go in the bathroom and you look at the mirror, you would have to keep looking at it or you might not see your reflection...

I used to believe, and almost still do (I'm 12) that if you look in a mirror through the corner of your eye, you would see scary stuff, or if you looked straight into a mirror, you would see scary stuff behind you. I still look away from mirrors in my bathroom.

When I was eight, I watched "Watcher in the Woods". If you have seen the movie -- it's pretty creepy for a Disney movie. For the next 10 months, I was afraid to go to the bathroom alone because I was afraid I'd see the "mirror girl". I had to ask my mom to come with me. When she wasn't available I would go as fast as I could, heart beating in fear, and never looking in mirror for fear I might see a fictional character from a stupid Disney movie that shouldn't be a Disney movie.

i used to believe that mirrors were a portal to another world and the only reason we cant get in is because our parallel selves are stopping us.
