I used to believe that there was a creature (or something) under my bed that would grab my feet so I had to sleep with the blankets pinned tight under my feet and around my whole body so nothing could get me
A variation on the "Monsters under the Bed" theme: When I was little, I believed that there were two monsters that lived under my bed. I had to sleep on my back in the exact middle of of the bed, because if I strayed too far to one side, the monster from the opposite side of the bed would get jealous and attack me from it's side.
I used to belief that the monsters under the bed would eat me if any part of my body, except for my head, poked out from under the blanket. It was terrifying when I needed to turn the bedside lamp on, I had to do it quickly or the monsters would get me. But as soon as the light was on the monsters would disappear.
I used to believe that after i went to bed and the lights were out, i couldnt stick any part of my body over the side of the bed because the Windigo monster would grab me and drag me by my hair until my feet burned off. creepy.
I used to leap a good distance to get into bed because if I stood too close to the edge, the monster would reach out and grab my ankles.
When I was younger I believed that the monsters in the dark wouldn't be able to 'get me' if I was completely tucked in right up to my ears, I couldn't sleep with my limbs out of the covers no matter how warm it was!
When I was younger I couldn\'t sleep with my limbs hanging over the edge of the bed because a big slimy green worm called a creeper would pull me off the bed and take me away. If my arms and legs were inside the bed I was safe.
I used to believe that monsters could come out from under my bed at night and attack me if I weren't completely covered by the bedclothes. To this day I don't know how I ever thought that a sheet and a blanket made a sufficient shield from monsters.
i used to believe that a purple dragon named Bob lived under my bed so every night i would put my sisters baby dolls under my bed as sacrifices to the purple dragon
When I was little I used to believe in a factory under my bed where all the monsters lived and would come up to eat me while I was sleeping. I would have to run and jump into my bed, just in case any of the monsters was up and about when it was my bed time.
When I was little, I never thought there was a boogyman or ghost under my bed. Instead, there was an evil penguin. I used to try to talk my mom into letting me sleep in the livingroom. When asked why, I would always scream about the penguin.
now i love penguins!
There was always the thing of how there was a monster is under your bed among my primary years. My logic was that if the monster really was there, then if I slept under the bed, it would have to move out, and in result not "getting" me.
I used to think there was a monster under my bed called Freddie who would come out and rip my teddies to pieces...
Turns out it was my dog Mandy
C'mon I was only 4
i used to think that there was this scary witch under my bed, and that she could reach up over the headboard and snatch my head while i was sleeping. i would scoot as far down into my bed as possible, hoping that her arms wouldn't be able to reach...
i also thought that the "shadowy figure" from the Barbie Detective computer games slept on the top bunk of my bunk bed (i slept on the bottom). i wasn't really scared, because i knew he woulnd't hurt me, he just wanted a place to sleep at night...
i was a weird kid.
When I was about 4/5, I used to believe that there were crocodiles living under my bed, and the only way I would be safe from them eating my feet would be if I was wearing odd socks. I would scream if my parents tried to put matching socks on me at night but I don't remember them ever asking me why....
late at night i would be scared to come in my room and get on the bed so i would jump quickly on the bed so the monster under the bed wouldnt gab and pull me under
I used to believe there was a monster under my bed with a really long fingernail and if I slept with my back towards the edge of the bed, he would reach up and tap me on the back with his fingernail when I slept. Needless to say, I always slept facing the edge of the bed until my teens!
i used to believe that a monster lived under my bed so every time i got out of bed i would first stand up on the bed then jump off of it as far as i could so i monster wouldnt get me.
When I was younger I had a loft bed and bolew there was almost like a tent with windows. This tent alone scared the crap out of me but then at night when I was climbing up or down the ladder I would be exteremly careful to get down quickly and not put my foot on the rung with the window behind because then monsters would find me and eat me
When I was younger, I would always sit on my bed to put my socks on. So one time I sat on my bed with my legs hanging over the edge, putting my socks on, when I noticed how dark it was under my bed. I somehow got the idea there were monsters hiding under my bed trying to steal my socks off my feet. From then on, I jumped on my bed & kept my feet on top of it to put my socks on, just so the sock stealers couldn't take my socks.
