I used to believe that there was a monster under the bed, and if you let your hand hang over the side, the monster would grab it and drag you under. Nobody would hear a thing, no matter how much you screamed and cried. I think that's why I've never fallen out of bed.
I used to believe that there was a monster under my bed and if I hung my arms and/or legs out of the bed the monster would drag me off the bed and eat me!
I used to believe there was a monster under my bed and if i put my hand down the side of my bed he would suck me down. I would always stick my hand down there and pull it back up quickly.
My brother & I believed that monsters lived under our bed. I used to hate to get out of bed since I feared a monster would grab my legs before I got away from the bed!
My sister (evil as she was) Always told me that monsters lived under our bed. Every night we would fight over who would turn off the light.Being the youngest. It was usually me...I remember jumping as far as I could to not get close to the bedside...afraid of being grabbed... I am 30 years old and I still can not stand beside a bed in the dark....I still catch myself leaping in....LOL
From an early age I truly believed that if I fell asleep on top of the covers, that the bed monster would grab my feet. My paranoia led me to be very obsessive about making sure the sheet was tucked in pretty tight at the end of my bed when I wanted to go to sleep. If I felt it wasn't tight enough, I would then just tuck the sheet tightly around my feet. And it worked... the bed monster never got me.
Sadly: by force of habit... I still can't go to sleep until my feet are well covered. I guess you can say I ahve Post Bed Monster Syndrome.
i used to believe that there was a monster under my bed and so i never went to bed without checking. I didn't stop doin this until my mum told me it wasn't true and she didn't tell me this until i fell outta bed and cracked my head open!
that if i made sure none of me was sticking over the edge of my bed-not even a milimetre of skin-the monsters wouldnt know i was there
I used to believe there was monster that lived under my bed. Thing was, it could only come out in the dark. So I would stretch out for the light switch, then jump straight into bed when I switched the light off.
when i was little i was afraid to let any part of my body or blankets hang over the side of the bed, thinking that something would grab it and drag it under the bed. i'm much older now, and i still won't dangle any part of my body over the side of the bed.
Until I was 9 or 10 years old, when I went into my room to sleep at night, I would run in and make a flying leap from the bedroom door onto my bed (I had a small room), because I thought if I walked in and let my feet get too close to the bed, something would grab me from underneath it.
I always thought a had some kind of creature under my bed and if I didnīt hurry when I was going up in my bed it would reach out and take my legs and drag my down! Because of that I always ran through my room and jumped into my bed from about 1 meter... I fooled it everytime!
As a child I believed that any part of the body hanging over the edge of the bed was fair game for monsters. Even now as a 34 year old mother of two boys, I still won't let my arms or legs hang off of the bed.
I would believe that a monster was under my bed - and that if ANY part of my body hung over the side, even if it was as small as a little toe hanging over the side...it would bite it off! I would curl up in the middle of the bed. I even thought that if my blanket were hanging over the side, that the monster could pull the blanket and get a part of my body to hang off of the side of the bed - and then I would be history!
So, I would roll up in my covers, until I could barely breathe! Then, I would curl up in a ball, in the middle of my bed!
I used to believe that there were things in my room and something under my bed so i could never let my foot hang out of the covers. I used to think that as long as every single bit of flesh was covered in sheets (except my face) then they couldn't get me.
I used to have a monster sleeping under my bed. He was green and had spikes on his head and if you let your toes ahng off the edge he would eat them. I used to have to make a flying leap for the door if I wanted to get up at nite and the only place safe was sleeping on the floor at the foot of mum and dads bed with blink and blank, my rugs. There was never a monster under their bed.
I used to believe that there were monsters that lived under my bed. they were brown and looked like Grover from Seasame Street. I was so scared that I would run and jump on to the bed so they wouldn't grab me. Some nights I would not even get up to go to the bathroom because I was afraid they would get me. Sometimes I didn't flush the tiolet so that way if they came to get me my parents would hear my screams
I believed that after the lights were turned out there were monsters under my bed. None of the bedding could hang over the side of the bed because the monsters could grab hold and climb up into my bed. And if I got up in the middle of the night, when I went back to bed I would take a flying leap to get into the bed before the monsters could grab me (I was never awake enough to worry about it on the way to the bathroom).
When I was young, my mom would tell me, "If you don't keep your arms & legs under the covers all night long, there are monsters/gobblins that will grab them!!"
Now at 62, even tho I've known this is all bull since I was 5 or 6 years old and what mom did was to keep me covered and warm at night, I still think about it should I wake in the middle of the night and one of my arms/hands is hanging off the bed!! ;-))
When I was young, when it was dark, I used to believe there were monsters under my bed so I used to jump on my bed really quick, never hang my legs over the side and never look under the bed because I thought the monsters would grab you aqnd pull you under!
