when I was younger, I thought that you smoked by swallowing it. So, when I tried it I swallowed, and after about 10 times in a row of me swallowing air, I burped and a HUGE puff of smoke came bellowing out. It wouldn't have been that bad, but I was in the middle of talking to someone when I did it. They didn't know what to think!

When I was younger I had a pretty nasty cold and I was blowing my nose. My mom told me if I blew any harder I would blow my brains out right through my nose. I cried and cried and cried....she told me she didn't mean it like that, but to this day I can't stand blowing my nose lol.

When I was little I would always be sucking on my thumb. I couldn't fall asleep without sucking on it. But one day my mom and my dad sat me down and told me if I didn't stop I would have teeth like bugs bunny. This scared me but I still continued to do it. They tried everything from putting pepper on it to making me wear mittins. I guess they were right about the bugs bunny teeth, because here I am at 16 still sucking my thumb and I have buck teeth. (I still need to suck my thumb to be able to fall asleep at night) Shhhhhhhh!

When I was in kindergarten, my mom once told me that if I pick my nose, then ants would crawl into my nostrils. I used to believe it was true. Whenever my nose itches, I thought there were ants living in there. When my nose bleeds, I thought I had killed ants.

When I was young, my grandmother always told me if I sucked my thumb my teeth would fall out. The day I went for my first dental appointment she pulled her dentures out and said take these for a checkup. I promise, thumbsucking ended immediately. Boy I miss her. What could she tell my bugar picking daughter?

My mother told me that if I bit my nails that the skin would grow over my nails and my fingers would look like drumsticks. That was enough to scare me to death.

When I was about five I asked my older sister who was nine why she always sucked her thumb. She said that when she sucked her thumb she would get juice out of it. I was so in awe that I stood there and tried it but I didn't get any juice. She said I should keep trying and I did. But then I went to her again and told her I still wasn't getting any juice and she shrugged and said yours must be out before walking away. I remember standing there wanting to cry because of how unfair it was.

when i was about 10 i had a really bad cold and like any stupid kid i thought i was being proactive by picking out as much snot as i could and therefore get rid of my cold. well it ended in a huge nosebleed and my mom had me stuff tissue up my nostrils to try to soak up the blood, it just wouldnt stop. after a while i was fine and removed the tissue, tho my nose was still blocked with the cold. about a week later my right nostril was still blocked. in the middle of a clothes store i went rooting for gold and pulled out the biggest hardest lump of red tissue from my nose that had been stuck up there since the week before, unnoticed, and presented it to my mom shouting "Look, i unblocked my nose!" needless to say she was highly embaressed tho i was quite proud of myself!

When I was about 3, me and my grandparents took a train trip through Canada. We were sitting in about the middle of the train car and the front of the car was the smoking area. I looked up and saw smoke and stood up screaming :The train is on fire! The train is on fire!" Boy did that get a laugh. The college girls put out their cigs and asked me to join them. So I played Barbies with them for a few hours :)

When I was little, I bit my nails. My mother told me that if I didn't stop, I would look like Venus de Milo. I had no idea that was a famous armless statue. I thought for years it was an old Italian woman who lived on our street.

When I was little, my friend's mother told me there was a snail that lives inside of your nose, and if you pick your nose, he will chew off your fingernail, and after that, he would bite your finger off!
i thought tobacco was just dead grass. so when my friends mom left one day, we got some white paper, some dead grass in the backyard and walked around trying to smoke it. I was 9.
