biting my nails

When I was about 4 years old, I used to chew my nails occasionaly, and as another bad habit, I used to sometimes swallow gum. My Grandmother told me that I was going to end up with a big ball of gum and fingernails in my stomach

when i was about 5 or i stared to bite my nails, my mother told me that if i kept biting them i would bite my fiers off, well i was watching a telivision show and the doctor had said "that this man has bitten his fingers off to the bone." since then, i have stopped biting my nails.

I'm seventeen, and up until very recently (less than a year ago) I bit my nails and had been ever since I was very little. Then I had a kidney stone and since I had no idea what actually caused it, I had myself convinced that it was biting on my nails my whole life that was the problem. Turned out that it wasn't the problem, but I stopped biting them anyway--just in case.

I bite my nails but my auntie tells me that they will stay like that forever so I stopped. My cousin still bites hers and hers have stopped growing now! spooky or what!!!

I thought that when you bit your nails, and if you swallowed them, there was a little box at the back of your neck where they were stored. If you bit them too much, the box would explode, and that was why I thought you shouldn't bite your nails.

When my friend caught me biting my nails, she said that a few years ago, a girl died because she bit her nails and skin on her fingers and swallowed them. They got stuck in her throat and fomed a huge ball that she choked on and made her die. I didn't beleive her but sometimes when i bite my nails, I think about what she told me and stop straight away; but it doesn't always work!

when i was 7 my dad threatened 2 bite my fingers off i never did it from then on. well thats what he thinks he he!

i used to bite my nails when i was little. my friend told me that if i did, my nails would eventually stop growing back. (keep in mind she was in 2nd grade) i was scared, but kept biting my nails.

When i was younger my grandpa would tell me that if i bit my nails then they would attach themselves to the lining of my stomach and make me very sick. He told me he had a friend that bit her nails and she became very sick and was hospitalized. When the doctor went to operate her stomach was full of nails and he couldnt help her so she died. Now I am 16 and I know that is not true. I wish i would have believed it because i still bite my nails.

I've had the habit of biting my nails since I was little, and one day, my friend's mom told me that if I kept biting them, a huge claw would grow out of my stomach. Surprisingly, that didn't stop me.

one day when i waz in 6th grade my teaher would tell us not 2 bite my nails and my friend always asked y and my teacher said cuz if u bite them and eat them u can get ring wrom and even sence then i neva bet me nails

I never bit my nails, because I never wanted to and also because when I was 5 my friend told me I would grow animal claws if I didn't bite my nails.(He was trying to make me start the habit but it had the opposite effect... claws are cool!)

I always bit my nails when I was younger, until my grandfather caught me once and told me that all the nails were collecting in my stomach and would stay there forever until the ball got so big that it would cut through my stomach and the rest of my insides....

when i was young i was told by my headteacher in an assembly that our nails had snakes eggs in tem and when you bite your nails they hatch inside you. i cried that night thinking that there was sakes inside me,my mother contacted the department of education and the headteacher got an official warning. the heads name was Mr.Nutter
