My father (who at near 80 doesn't really qualify as a kid anymore) knows one thing about computers: they can only put out what has been put in in the first place. So he once told me he couldn't understand how the computer programmers could know beforehand what text I would want to write one day.
A childhood belief about technology

others believed things like this
- I could NOT understand why, if a pen worked on paper, it couldn't also write in thin air.— Can you guess what it is yet?
- I used to believe that if I couldn't suck in my gut anymore, my belly would bulge out twice as much.— Secret
- I used to think that the Kama Sutra was the hindu religous text.— M!ke
- I used to believe you could edit a webpage in IE by highlighting and typing in the new text.Anon
- I never did understand why it was "Our Father, who aren't in heaven".— Edith
- I used to think that boysenberry was poisonberry and couldn't understand whay anyone would want to eat it.Anon
