When I was a kid, I didn't believe that people actually lived in New Zealand. I have absolutely no idea what made me believe this, but I thought this up until I was about 10 or 11 years old. I thought it was completely inhabited by kiwi birds and uh....other native New Zealander creatures.
A childhood belief about places

- When I was eight, I thought my dad could translate what the birds were saying. I have no idea why.Anon
- I thought pink wafer biscuits would bite me if I touched them. Absolutely no idea why.Anon
- I used to get mad when people used the word "native" because I thought they were making fun of my name!— Nate
- When I was little, I thought that birds feathers were made out of twigs and cat hairs.— Lily
