When I was first learning about the discovery of America, I thought that my grandmother played an important role in it. I misunderstod the year, instead of 1592, I thought it was 1892 and I thought my grandma was old enough. I don't know why I thought she played an important role in dicovering America though.
A childhood belief about history

others believed things like this
- I used to think it was the United STEAKS of America and that cows must be really important in the U.S.— Jake
- I thought that the role of Lollipop ladies was to give out lollies. Shame!— Helen
- I used to believe all of North America was Canada and South America was USA..— Daria
- In "God Bless America" I thought it was "With the light from a bulb" instead of "from above."— Carol
- When I was in kindergarten, I thought the last line of "America" was "Great God our kid." — CC
- I thought the Pledge of Allegiance was "to the United Steaks of America," and that we were saying it to cows.— bessy
