Until I was in third grade, I was afraid to flush toilets. My mom says our toilet (when I was about 2) almost overflowed, so she picked me up and said "Uh-oh!" Since then, I was always afraid the toilet would overflow, and that something really bad would happen then.. though I wasn't sure what. Maybe I was just afraid to get it on my feet. In any case, for years I ran from the bathroom as soon as I'd flushed.
