For the longest time (through college even) I thought the last lyrics of the Golden Girls was "And the cardiacs would say, 'Thank you for being a friend'".
Made sence to me, as it was a show about older women. My brother has since informed me of it being "card attached". Makes more sense now.
A childhood belief about misheard lyrics

others believed things like this
- I thought a Debit card was actually called a Debt card.— Kilgore
- I thought the lines in the sky left behind by airplanes were "sky scrapers". Makes sense.Anon
- I thought a major general is more powerful than just a general (which still kind of makes sense to me)— Demond
- My brother told me that I would turn into a boy when I got older. It made me cry.— Sarah
- My older brother made me believe that wristwatches were powered by tiny Japanese men inside them.— Outsider
- My older brother once told me that Aussie shampoo was made from kangaroo pee. I avoided using it for years!— Annie
