Two beliefs:
1) I had just come from eardrum surgery to restore my hearing a few days earlier. My little sister was born, and I went in to see her. When my dad took a Polaroid photo, she got freaked out by the sound of the shutter, looked directly at me, and started scream-crying at the top of her lungs. It was so painful to me that I begged, "Take her back!" to the nurses, which I thought they could do. I wish they would have, now that I think about it.
2) I used to have an imaginary baby that I played with and pretended to be its mom. When my male cousins made fun of me, I said that if they weren't nice to her I would put her back inside me and she'd go away forever. Yikes!!!
