when i was young my mum always used to tell me 'close the door in case a draught gets in' only i thought she said 'close the door in case a giraffe gets in', and i always used to run and close it because i was so scared of the giraffe. I also genuinely beleived the 3 bears of goldilocks story lived in my garden, and that when my dad took my nose he really had it.
