When I was a little girl, adults would say things like when you grow up and choose a husband...
I visualized one day, an older me inspecting a long line of prospective husbands. A distressing prospect since at 6 or 7 I could not imagine what I would want in a husband, even why I would even want one.
A childhood belief about marriage

others believed things like this
- When I was three I used to believe that cow and horse are wife and husband.— xenia
- My husband used to believe that kindergarten was called, "kiddie garden." — wife of mispronouncing guy
- my husband believed, until recently, that the word "several" meant seven of something. — sheryl
- I used to believe that The Horse was The Cow's husband, and that it produced chocolate milk.— Laura
- When I was little I thought that a honeymoon was when the Husband and wife went to the moon and eat honey.— AmAnDa
- When I first met my husband, he thought women didn't fart. He was really surprised after he met me!!!Anon
