I never really liked red meat as a kid, and I remember the first time I tried lamb, it was covered in this red sauce and I thought it tasted really weird and didn't even look like "real" meat(because of the sauce), instead I had a very strong suspicion that it was infact human flesh. I ate it anyway.
A childhood belief about nasty food

others believed things like this

- My Dad had me believe - for YEARS - that Lamb meat was man made.— Anthony
- My mum used to tell me that baked beans were just peas covered in tomato sauce.— munky
- I used to think that Tabasco Sauce contained tobacco, and therefore was actually "tobacco sauce."
Anon - When I was six my sister told me Meat Pies were made from mashed up rats...to this day I can't eat a Meat Pie.— Jamie
- my brother used to believe that Ground Chuck meat was actually groundhog meat. Anon
