When I was a kid around 8 years old, if I got in trouble...it was called "GO TO YOUR ROOM, YOU ARE IN TROUBLE" My mom, dad and I moved to California. I met friend down the street who was part Chumash Indian. I called one day to see if she could come over to play and her mom said she was "grounded." I was horrifed because I had never heard that term before. All I could imagine was Kathy buried up to her neck in their backyard with birds pecking her eyes out.
