When I was about 10 I learned about sharks, and they terrified me. To this day I have trouble swimming in deep water (including fresh water - hey, you never know!).
But when I was little I thought all water was kept inside the world, in like a big resevoir, and I grew convinced that a shark could come up my toilet and bite my bum. I became very speedy in using the loo, and to this day I don't linger there. For some reason I wasnt' afraid of any other creature getting up the toilet pipes, only sharks.

- i used to believe there were invisible sharks in the deep end of the pool, thanks to my older brother.— Melissa
- I used to beleive that if you flushed the toilet that it would explode and all the water would shoot out.— Michelle
- I thought that hydrogen was pure water (since I knew hydro- meant water) and H2O was impure some how— Hexetic
