When I was little, flushing the toilet was the scariest thing in the world to me. I distinctly remember RUNNING out of bathroom stalls -- especially the ones with the really LOUD "flushers" -- to avoid having the toilet overflow and drown me in a bathroom full of raging toilet water, complete with rats, dragons, spiders, and of course, all the world's sewage. (You know, come to think of it, I'm not really sure I've overcome that fear.) :)
