When I was little (about 8), I used to think that poppy seed muffins were actually drugs because my grandpa said if I had a muffin like that and took a drug test, I'd be positive. So naturally when I went through the D.A.R.E. program, I was anxious to share my knowledge. When the officer asked "Have you ever seen any drugs before besides alcohol?" to the class (this was when I was 10)I raised my hand. The officer naturally raised his eyebrows and said "Would you care to explain?" and I said
"If you go to a grocery store or bakery, you see those poppy seed muffins! They're out in the open where anyone could get at them! I thought drugs are dangerous and get you into trouble!" Most of my school mates laughed and the officer was too and explained to me that those muffins aren't actual drugs and won't really harm you. (But the drug test thing was true, he told me!)
