When I was a kid I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to say the words "A Adult" without it sounding strange, (At the time I wasn't aware of the word 'an') and often ended up saying "A grown-up".
A childhood belief about speaking

others believed things like this
- When I was a child, I thought that grown-ups were adult.— Gloria
- I used to believe that life was like a tv show and that the world ended when I died.— mortimer x
- In first grade, I thought that if I've never heard of a word before, then it wasn't a word.— Destiny
- I used to think grown ups couldn't lie...especially not to kids.— Jessica
- For the longest time I didn't know that Spinal Tap wasn't a real group. No wonder I couldn't find their music.— Louis
- I thought the word economical was actually two words: eek and omical.
