One sad and disillusioning day, many many years after my childhood, I discovered that "The Alphabet Song", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Baa Baa Black Sheep" all have exactly the same tune.
A childhood belief about songs
others believed things like this
- I used to believe that stars chirped because they would twinkle simultaneously to crickets chirping— alex
- I used to believe that the sound of crickets at night was actually coming from the twinkle of the stars.— Lily Fagioli
- when i was little i thaught the bit in the alphabet song, where it goes LMNOP
actually want ENNEL MENNEL BEE — im going to the movies now - i believed that michelle gayle's sweetness song contained the lyrics shade in sheep shit!— andrew
- I thought that the star that Mary and Joseph followed was called Yonder, as in 'following Yonder star."— Kairow
- if you pick your nose, there will be a tune from itAnon
