My family is Italian and we've always had Italian food in the house. When I was little in the early 70's, some types of food were hard to come by in England or very expensive, at least. Parmesan cheese was one of these expensive items, so, kindly, my parents used to tell my sister and I that if you ate too much Parmesan it gave you worms. I believed it for years and years and years. Ridiculous eh!!!
