When I was little my uncle and auntie got divorced; my mum explained to me that I wouldn't see my Auntie anymore, and when I pushed for a reason she said that the policeman had come round and told them to be apart!
I believed for a long time that this could happen to any married couple whenever the police chose; but strangely never doubted that the policeman had a good reason!
