A childhood belief about general

I used to believe that if I didn't think about something for long enough I would forget it.
My friend Jane told me in graphic biological detail how babies are made. I was 9, I knew she hadn't made it up because no-one could have an imagination that wild! I felt a little sullied by knowing and tried not to think about it so that I would forget it. Guess what? it didn't work. But as I get older, I'm 43 now, I find I don't have to try so hard, somedays I could forget my name.
