I have a great mom, and I love her very much. But when I was little I guess I had those, 'really I'm a princess and my kind and queen parents are out there missing me' daydreams that a lot of kids have. I'm not sure what it was that convinced me it was true, but somewhere the line between make believe and reality blurred, and I became convinced it was true. I kept it a secret, though, because I figured I was supposed to. Until one day I got mad at my mom for making me go to my room or something. And as she turned to walk away I yelled, "I like my other mom a lot better than you!" Obviously she was a little confused by this and told me I did not have another mom. Which reminded me that she was right.
