Until I was around 10 years of age, I thought that all the squiggly and swirly things you saw in your eyes were actually molecules. Everybody talked about how tiny molecules were and that no body can see them but I kept thinking..."Oh, yeah? I can see them!". I am a grown up now and I still wonder how they know they have split the atom...if an atom is too small to see, how can you possibly see half of one?
