When I was about ten, a friend of mine, who was a few years older, and whose mother was a pediatrician, told me that if you eat ramen, it temporarily makes your stupider. She said she only ate ramen during summer break so that she'd be smart when she was at school. I seriously believed her for a few months, then I went back to eating ramen. Sometimes I can still feel it shutting down my brain when I eat it.
