I was an only child who always wanted a brother or sister. When I was around 8 years old, an older friend told me that the way to tell if my mother was going to have a baby was to look under her bed, and it there was dust under there, that meant that my mother was pregnant. I watched the dust accumulate under my parent's bed for a couple of years and kept watching to see if my mother's tummy was growing before I found out that it wasn't true!
