I used to think that wedding cakes were just a fake decoration especially made for a wedding, with a miniture bride and groom on top of it. I believed it because everytime I went to the country club with my parents, outside the reception ball room there is always a fake wedding cake that advertises for wedding receptions and chefs that can make personalised wedding cakes, and everytime I asked if I was allowed to eat it I would be told, "No, it's fake."
