Up until I was in 7th grade I thought you said blesh you when someone sneezed instead of bless you. I still say blesh instead of bless and I doubt I'll ever stop.
A childhood belief about speaking

others believed things like this
- I used to believe that "God bless you" was "gableshu," so everytime someone sneezed, I would say "gableshu."— JS
- In "God Bless America" I thought it was "With the light from a bulb" instead of "from above."— Carol
- I used to believe that when I said my prayers, "God Bless..." meant please keep burglars awayAnon
- In the Hail Mary prayer, I used to say 'Bless a dark fowl among women' rather than 'blessed art though'Anon
- When I was a kid I thought that when tornado/twisters were what happened when God sneezed.— Not In Kansas Anymore
- I also thought that people in different countries coughed, sneezed, laughed, or cried in their own language!— Mini
