when OB Tampons first came out and they advertised that there was no aplicator i was so confused because for some reason i thought the aplicator was the string. so i asked my mom how they were supposed to get the tampon out after they put it in.
A childhood belief about periods

- I used to think that if a movie was advertised on the side of a bus, that meant it was really good. — Aretia
- My mother, the good Catholic, thought that Jesus, being a string bean (supreme being) was really skinny.— Mark D
- My nephew (age 7) thought tampons were plugs for diarrhea. Anon
- I never knew how tampons worked, I always thought they would fit in a female flat, like a hot dog.— only me
