When I was young (like 3 & 4 yrs old) and would have ear infections, my mom would take me to the doctor...the doctor would confirm that, yes, I did have an ear infection, and that it was because Bert and Ernie (from Sesame Street) were in there airing their dirty socks. I truly believed that Bert and Ernie did their laundry in my head. I'm not sure how long it took me to realize it wasn't true...
