"You know I like to keep my cheating stragety" for Blind Melon's "No Rain". Yes, I know that "stragety" is not a word. I'm still not certain of the actual lyrics because my cousin told me it was "You know I'd like to keep my jeans dry today" and I just read on here that it's "You know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today", either of which makes more sense than what I always thought.
A childhood belief about misheard lyrics

others believed things like this
- My cousin's mom told my cousin that pop makes you short. He probably believed it.— Molly
- My sister told me as a child that ravioli was 'hedgehog' meat.
Still can't eat it today.......— Sal Myers - I thought there were no pirates alive today!— Sp' Iyulgar
- Someone told me that they cousin who used to think rain was God peeing.Anon
- Actual lyrics: "I've never been your beast of burden"
My lyrics: "I've never been your big suburban"
— Big Suburban - I thought the lines in the sky left behind by airplanes were "sky scrapers". Makes sense.Anon
