I used to believe that if I stayed in the same room with a flushing toilet, that it would take my soul to the nether world, just like it did with pets. It didn't effect grown ups, because they were already soulless, which is what I would tell my mom when she told me she didn't believe me after I explained why I ran from the bathroom after flushing the toilet.
