I used to believe that elderly persons, especially the rich, never go to the gents or to the ladies. I was surprised the first day I discovered my Mum going to the Ladies (I mean going to ease herself).
A childhood belief about around the house

others believed things like this
- I thought the lyrics to "Single Ladies" were "If you liked it, then you should've put your name on it."Anon
- I used to think that the sound after the toilet was flushed was ladies singingAnon
- I used to believe that the reason ladies had big bouffant hairdos was that their heads were shaped that way.— Bea
- I thought that the role of Lollipop ladies was to give out lollies. Shame!— Helen
- when I saw those prepare to meet thy god signs I thought they were beauty parlours for religous ladies only!— knuckles
- We were told at school by the evil dinner ladies that apple pips contained arsenic.....Anon
