When I was little my aunt once told me that after cutting your nails you have to flush them in order to get rid of them and If you throw it on the ground or anywhere other than the toilet, an evil spirit (jinn) would appear and will take you to its underground prison. I was terrified I never dared to throw them anywhere else no matter how tired I was. I believed this until I was 14
