When I was a child, I believed that the hole in the sink was connected to Africa. Since I thought there was very little water there, I poured water into the drain every day so that people could drink. I felt proud because I believed I was helping others. One day, my mother was shocked to see me doing it. She explained how things really worked, and I understood. Today, I would still like to help people in Africa, but in a more meaningful and effective way.
