As a young child, I used to believe that will o the wisps were incredibly dangerous. I also believed that they were random fires that turned blue and also became sentient. So I attempted to “kill” a will o the wisp by putting my hand in a fire, thinking it would “stun” the wisp. Unfortunately it didn’t and my hand burned instead
