I used to believe that if you made a peeing or pooing noise (such as the pee hitting the water in the toilet or your turd splashing) in a public restroom that people would think you were rude and disgusting when you walked out of the stall.
For years i sat in an awkward fashion at school, trying to angle my pee to make sure no one heard it hitting the water!

When I was a kid a little boy at our school was in a wheelchair and braindamaged. When I asked my mom what was wrong with him, she said he had "encephalitis". I must've looked puzzled because she further elaborated that meant he had "water on his brain". I was convinced it came in through his ears. I would not put my head under water for years.

i believed, when i was younger, i had a magic finger.it was my first finger (Next to the thumb), on my right hand.

i used to open gates when walking with it and let my family through.

was fun...i really belive it was magic too...

I used to believe that when people are sleeping they stop breathing. So when it was time to go to sleep and i wasnt asleep asleep yet, my mom would come check on me so i would hold my breath and close my eyes.

when i was a little kid i liked to read the captain underpants series and one day i went to the store and i found the one thing that i wanted in the world, it was a hypnotyze ring from the series of captain underpants. i really thought that i could hypnotize people and tell them to buy me things. i even made a list of things i can tell people to buy me! when i finally got it in the mail i put it on my finger and the hypnotyze black and white thing came falling off and i found out that it was just glue that attached it. I was crushed.

I know a girl who seriously used to believe that boys peed out of their belly buttons. She was about 30 years old. Can we say gullible?

I used to believe that having a cast on an arm or leg was the coolest thing ever. When my aunt fell downt he stairs and broke BOTH legs, she had to get casted from her toes to her hips. Over the phone i told her that she was the luckiest woman alive.

Also, when one girl in my 2nd grade class told us she had "only" fractured her arm I was lead to believe that a fracture was not as bad as an actual break.

I used to believe that I could talk to cats and dogs...I would answer for them and I knew exactly what they were saying. I set up a stand on the side of the road...it said "Read your cats mind- 50 cents"

hall of fame

I used to believe that urine was green. It wasn't until I was about ten years old that I realized that this was because our toilet bowl was blue.

I once found a silver eagle pendant in the playground at school. I took it home and got it hot over the stove and burned in into my hand. This, of course, would unleash eagle-like superpowers that would render me invincable forever. I told my best friend about it, and that I was even "starting to feel the power". I later hung up on her mom that was calling to ask me why her child was trying to burn herself. I still feel a little super.

When I was little, about 6, 7, or 8, I honestly and truely believed that my mom and dad were psichic. I would constently bother them saying, "What am I thinking now??" over and over. When I was older, about 10, I questioned my parents about it... turns out they could just tell when i was lying like any good parent!!!

Well, you know how your parents would always tell you to come in out of the rain or you would catch a cold? And how sickness was caused by germs ("coughs and sneezes spread diseases"). I got very of the rain - it must have been full of germs, or how else would you catch a cold from it?

I seem to recall being told by a doctor that snot was made out of waste materials like dead brain cells. As I used to sneeze A LOT, I thought this was making me thicker.

i truly believed that I will never die even if I fall from a great height. Coz I knew a secret. When you are few feets away from the ground, you should again jump up in the air. The net effect on landing will be like you have just jumped few feets.
Anyways, I still somehow believe in this. Sounds logical right? :-)

I remember climbing many times on a Mango tree in our Neighbourhood when I was small just with the hope that some spider will bite me on my hand and I will turn into a Spider-Man.
Well, it never happened with me! :-(

I used to believe…

When I was a child, well after being potty trained, but before ever experiencing or even imagining such thing as a "wet fart", I was nonetheless scared to death for some reason of farting when I was naked. I was afraid that somehow if I farted when naked, I was in grave danger of doing more than a fart and spraying doodoo all over the room. But when ever I had so much as just panties on, I farted fearlessly, never expecting it to soil my panties. So I can't imagine why the thought of farting naked was fraught with such apprehensions of something I'd never known to happen!
