I was about 10 years old before I gave up believing that I could someday develop super powers to move objects if I just believed hard enough. My goal was to be able to flip off the light switch from my bed so I wouldn't have to run across the room in the dark. Of course, I could have simply asked for a night light, but the super power ability would have been so much more fun.

When I was very young, my mother told me not to sleep with the bedsheets over my head because it would make me have trouble getting enough air. After she told me that, I was very careful to make sure I never fell asleep with a sheet covering my head for fear that I would not get enough air and die in my sleep.

When I was little when someone said or talked about "heart attack", i thought of an old man in a wagon with the wagon going out of control and it reached the bottom of my old street and crashed into my friends mailbox and he got birdies around his head.

After watching cartoons I got the idea that if i got myself a fishing rod and line, i could hook myself and then by holding the rod and winding, i would be able to lift myself up and fly.
I quickly found out that this doesn't work but am still unsure why.
I am born in june and my sign is Cancer. When I was younger, I believed that this meant I was going to get Cancer when I was older. Every time someone mentioned the fact that I was a cancer I'd run crying to my mom. Boy was I silly!
I used to believe that a doctor's waiting room was a type of healing chamber which made you get better while sat there. This could be because when I was a baby, I must have been feeling poorly when I went to the doctors and was better when I left.

When my twin sis and I were little, our older sister farted and when we started freaking out saying, "Brooke you farted!" She told us that she didn't do it. My twin and I knew that we didn't so of course we denied her saying she didn't pass the gas. She replied, "I didn't fart because I'm a princess and I'm pretty and pretty princesses don't fart!"
I believed her, but my twin didn't.....

When my brother and I were little, my mom told us that we had to sit up straight when eating at the table, because otherwise the little men in our stomachs would be squished and therefore unable to move the food around...We believed her for many years. I also believed there was a separate little compartment in my stomach just for desserts, and therefore always had room for dessert.

My grandmother died from a subarachnoid hemorrhage when I was five. I thought she died from hemmroids. I overheard my mom talking to her sister on the phone about my grandfather's hemorrhoids and how they were worried that "he wouldn't be able to make the long drive" to come see us at Christmas and I got worried. We went Christmas shopping at the mall that afternoon, and sitting in the food court at Chik-fil-A I asked my mom what hemorrhoids were. She started laughing and I started crying because I thought my grandfather was going to die. She told me we'd talk about it later, but we never did. I figured it out on my own eventually and still get embarrassed when I think about that.
I used to believe that if you ate a crayon that when you pooped your poop would be colored. This being because my cousin told me she once ate a box of crayons, and when she pooped, it was colored.
To tell you the truth, I'm still not sure about this one. Haha, yeah I'm weird.

When I was really little and trying to fall asleep, I would lay with my ear to the pillow, listening to my heartbeat. I used to think that there was a giant marching through my ear (don't ask me how a giant got in my ear) and if I rolled over to the other side, he would escape and eat me. I didn't get much sleep during that period.

I use to work with a police officer who believed he could catch AIDS from his handcuffs if he used them on a prisoner that was HIV positive. So he washed his handcuffs with soap and water after every arrest. Eventually, the build up of soap ruined the locking mechanism and he could not get the cuffs off an arrestee. They had to be sawed off

When I was younger I didn't understand how males whiped themselves after peeing. I knew they didn't have the same privates I did, so I figured they must either just blot the tip of their penis with the toilet paper or wrap the paper around their entire penis to wipe. When I was eleven a friend with a brother told me they just shake it.
I used to believe that there was toilet paper all the time. Like before dinosaurs! Well, as soon as I found out I was astonished. Then I started sayin," Sucks for them!!!" LOL!!!
