In grade school as I became interested in girls, I thought that if I concentrated hard enough I could get a message of love into a pretty girl's head. This idea had me staring at some girls which probably freaked them out. Maybe my dating years would have been better without this bad start.

You know how you can hear your heart beating in your ear when you lay against your pillow. I used to think that was giants walking around at night looking for people to eat. So I would lay real still and try to hide under the covers. To this day I still sleep with the blanket pulled up to my chin

my cousin told me when I was young, that if I wore socks when I sleep that I would loose my toes. To this day I still won't wear socks when I sleep. Just in case.

My mom told me that she had stocked up on a "new" invention that you spray around the house and if someone farts the air around their butt turns purple and a purple cloud follows them and everyone knows they farted. I was very feminine and girly when i was younger so i was terrified that everyone would find out that i fart! lol
I used to think that when I ate, the food would spin round and round inside my chest, before it went down into my stomac.
I used to think that people could only eat so much before the food would come back out of their mouth's, and that this was the reason that people were overweight, the food had come out and they shoved it back down and made their stomach bigger making them look fatter.
I used to believe that we only breathed when we were asleep, since I only "heard" myself breathing when I was lying down.

When I was younger my parents would take my 4 sisters and I out to the movies and while walking down the sidewalk my Dad would let out a LOUD FART and then he would blame it on one of us girls. Well when he did it this time we were walking right by this Gym where there were soooooo many FINE looking Guys lifting weights and when Dad said that to me I was sooooo embarassed....

I use to think when you had a head ache your brain had died and after the head ache would go away your brain came back alive!
i used to be afraid of getting the chickenpox because i thought it was the worst disease imaginable, but i also got freckles and chickenpox confused. i spent most of my time avoiding people at school with freckles because i didn't want their chickenpox, but when i was seven some freckles appeared on my nose and i became very upset until my mom helped me differentiate between freckles and chickenpox

i used to believe that if i walked in the rain i would grow taller.
I used to believe that if you jumped off your bed and flapped your arms efficiently you had to be capable of achieving lift and could thoretically, yet briefly, sustain flight over your bedroom.
Unfortunatley, this only worked a few times in my dreams and the actual realtime simulation attemps accumulating around age 9 were unfortunately completely unsucessfull....I started exercising more after that because I calculated that I (my body) was the only possible reason my attempt at flight had failed this time...(next" part II - I did it - my room looks so big from up here! :> )

When I was around 5 or 6 years old I set to work selecting gravel and hairs from my dog and cat. I took my ingredients and mixed them with some water in a coke can. I seriously considered the implications if I followed through with my experiment. I thought that this concoction would mutate me, combining the properties of each ingredient. I imagined myself years from now as a part dog/cat/rock superhero-creature. I came to the conclusion it was the right thing to do. I poured the mix over my head in the shower, and needless to say was a bit disapointed.
