I believed I had some workers in my stomache who were working and cutting all the food I ate. And when I had a stomach-ache, my dad was telling me that these workers want to work and that they are getting bored so I have to help them and to take something to eat.

I was a bit of a nervous child. I used to worry that I was having a heart attack. My solution was to go outside and run around the house three times, snow or shine. You couldn't possibly run around the house if you were having a heart attack.

When I was 21 and expecting my first child, the ob/gyn asked if I wanted to breastfeed my baby. I said that I wouldn't mind the breastfeeding, I just couldn't stand the thought of him poking a hole in my nipples with a needle.

After overhearing my mother and my aunt discuss my cousin's Chicken Pox infection, I thought that it was called "Chicken Pops" and it was a special meal that you got when you were 6.

When I was really little I found out my dad was bipolar and I imediatly thought "polar = cold" (my dad LOVES the cold) and so I went around saying "My dad is bipolar" and if they asked what it was I'de say "It means he likes the cold and they named asickness after it!"

While while staying at my grandparents house, I used to be allowed to eat a ton of candy with the usual caveat that too much would "give you a tummyache". Once when I was 5 or 6, coincidentially I'm sure, I got a horrible tummyache at their house and ended up projectile vomiting repeatedly. After that I was terrified to eat any candy especially at their house for fear my tummyache would return.

One time I went over to my friends house, and he has a very younger brother who never liked the peels of an apple. My friend got tired of peeling to apple so I told him to make something up. His brother was obsessed with becoming stronger, so we just told him the apple peals would make him as strong as a dinosaur... he believed us...

I thought there were m&ms inside my body that worked much like cells, except for me to grow they stood on ladders and painted new skin from the inside. I guess the old skin would come off and I would somehow be bigger.

I used to think that when I had a headache there was a fat purple angry walrus in my head sitting at a desk throwing papers around.

I used to believe that there was someone in the world that could read my mind and tried to find out who it was. I would go to restuarants or other public places and see someone, wonder if it was them, and try to send them messages like "raise your hand if you hear me" through my mind to see if that was the person.

After seeing the Nutty Professor, I was scared to death to fart around a lit match or a stove. I believed that if I farted around these fire hazards that the world would explode into a big-ass mushroom cloud due to gas-caused explosions. One day, I accidentally let one rip after eating several frozen burritoes. I was terrified to realize that I let one go near my aunt's gas stove. The gas was on high while the stove was cooking my aunt's boiled eggs. I ran away screaming for my life like a savage/ Running outside flailing my arms around at every passing car that the world was going to explode any minute because I farted a big one.

Man, I was dumb.

My Mom convinced me when I was little that no one should ever "strain" too hard when they are on the toiled going #2 because if you did - the cork that kept all your "insides" inside your body would pop out. Forever I used to be scared that I would poop too hard and then I would have to walk around forever with a string and cork hanging out of my behind.
