I used to believe…

Until I was about 7 or so, I used to believe that there was a cork in your pee hole that held all the pee in until you needed to use the bathroom. I'm a girl and so I could never witness this event, and spent countless hours loking for the tiny cork in the toilet after I went to the bathroom.

My little brother used to believe that he couldn't touch anything pink, or it would cause an incurable rash where it touched. The only way to prevent the rash would be to "wipe off" the pink with blue ASAP.

When I was a kid, I used to believe that I could fly. I'd be in my grandmother's living room and jump off of her chair and do the "doggy paddle". Another time, my friends and I were running around the playground flapping our arms, and out came this strong wind and "lifted" us off the ground.

When I was about 8 I thought it was really grown up using perfume. I put some on my wrists and neck (like I saw my mum doing) and went out. Before we left I some-how licked my arm (where the perfume flavour had spread) and it tasted funny. I knew perfume was poisonous and got really, really worried. I was crying and telling everyone I loved them, until mum broke it to me by saying "Oh darling, such a little amount won't kill you." I was really embarrassed and said, "Yes... I know THAT mum I was just checking."

I used to lie awake in the night worrying whether to sleep with my mouth open or closed. I believed if I left my mouth open, a man would come in through the window and pour poison into it (and I would die). I also worried that if I left it closed I would suffocate. I would lie in my, until I got to sleep, opening and closing my mouth.

i have a scar on my forehead from walking into a table when i was 3 (i wasn't too bright). people used to ask me how i got it and i told them that my daddy punched me. i'm not quite sure why but my goodness did he got some strange looks

I used to believe I could control the wind. When I was hot, I would blow air out of my mouth really hard and wait a second or two and then without fail a gust of wind would come and cool me off. This is why I used to believe I could control the wind.

when I was nine I went to see my dad's uncle in Germany.I had to make his grandson ( he was 5 ) to go to sleep, but he wouldn't listen to me . The next day I put on my mom's high-heeled shoes and told him I had grown, because I slept and that he would remain small. He believed me and started crying! CONCLUSION: REVENGE IS SWEET!

I was in a car accident once.. nothing serious just a bump. I was little though and when i got home i peed and checked for blood... I thought the jolt had caused internal bleeding and it would come out in my pee

When I was about 5-7 I used to believe that I have this special ability to walk in the rain without getting wet. I believed that I could somehow avoid raindrops if I really wanted to and, especially, if I had my favourite sweatshirt on.

When I was 2 or 3, I had just finished watching pooh bear, and saw cassie the blubird flying, so I thought I could to. When I was little, I used to be scared of the dark. So I used to go to sleep with a little lamp on. Later, when I was asleep, my parents would switch it off. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and yell for my mum or dad. They would tell me there had been a power cut and that was why it was dark. When I looked out of the window "to see the men fixing the street lights" they were always too far away to see. Hmm...

my dad has always had a pretty severe alergy to poison ivy, and i thought that when he got poison ivy it made bubblegum grow out of his skin. i later learned that the medicine he put on to relieve the itch was just pink.

when I was little I used to believe that if you pressed a bruise, then it would play a song, so I would press my bruises and sing because it made me sing when pressed

I believed that because I often dreamed that I was able to fly, I had the innate but undeveloped ability and could learn to fly. So I would climb trees and jump out of them, always expecting that eventually I'd just start flying on the way down.
