About when i was 6 or 7 i was flipping through one of those zoo magazines on specific animals on butterflies and saw this little girl in a sleeping bag and then a picture of her out of it and with really pretty makeshift butterfly wings. Now when i was that old i was fascinated by how birds and butterflies could fly and i desperatly wanted to, but never could figiure out how. When i saw this article i got the little light bulb over my head.
I took my sleeping bag and set it just right for when i was ready. I then took two pink towels and somehow fastened them to my arms and legs so that they spread with you spread your arms! I carefully got in the sleeping bag, stayed there for about 20 minutes then got out, went outside and stood on the railing of my porch and jumped.
Lets just say i didnt try it again.

My mom told me that if I flapped my arms hard enough and ran fast enough I could fly. I used to spend hours running around outside flapping my arms.

When I was little I had this idea that if I dream about people maybe someone was dreaming of me and everything I was doing was just a part of their dream. I was terrified that the person would wake up and I would disappear.

I used to believe hickeys could kill you.
I used to think that if I concentrated hard enough on a star, I could make whatever I wanted come true. I stared at a star for ten minutes, thinking, "Make my house turn into a mansion, make my house turn into a mansion!" and preceded to glare at my house for half an hour. Unfortunately my house did NOT turn into a mansion and I stopped believing stars had powers ever since.

My little brother,Ethan, believed until he was like seven or eight(he's eight now) that girls pee out of their butts. He thuoght that since they didn't have a penis, there was absolutely no other opening pee could possibly come out of.Ok....

When I was little (still in diapers) I was convinced that you pee out of your bellybotton. So I would stand next to the toilet, pull up my shirt and say "pssssssss"

When I was a kid, my father often took me with him to a friend's truck garage. One day, outside that garage, I was playing around some kind of tank that had attracted my curiosity. But the garage owner told me to be careful around that structure, because it had some electrical connections, and there was a risk of electrocution there. I immediately quit playing around that thing, but that by no means put my fears to rest. I had only a vague notion of what electrocution might be like, thinking it might be like poisoning. Just as one could be poisoned without knowing it at the time and then die later, I supposed electrocution might work in such a way also, that I might have been electrocuted without knowing it and then die later. It must have been months to years after I quit playing around that tank before quit having a mortal fear of possibly dying at any time from it.

When I was a little girl, I got the notion that in order for a boy to urinate, he had to squeeze his penis. It wasn't until I was 20 or so that I found out I was wrong.
I used to think that a queef was just a regular fart, NOT the kind of fart that cometh from a woman's inner area. When I was around 18, I had told my boyfriend at the time about how my best friend and I would go around saying "I queefed". He then asked me if I knew what it really meant. Of course I didn't know that it could mean anything else, and when I asked him what it really was, he wouldn't tell me (being that he was a little more sexually adept than I was). Anyway, I found out the true meaning when I was 21--my roomie and some friends set me straight during a discussion on bodily functions.
Rat Boy, I hate you for not telling me before!

When I was 7, I thought I could transform into Sailor Moon. I tried in my room and outside, and even tried to do an attack on these bratty boys at school. Being 11 now and still watching Sailor Moon, I still pretend to transform but never expect anything to happen. I wish I could transform!

I used to believe…
sometimes my little brother would get constipated, so my Nan used to tell him to 'concentrate' when he was on the loo, to encourage him to go. I always thought that 'concentrate' was a posh word for having a poo, and still have to stop myself from giggling when a colleague says " Ssh; I'm concentrating."
