My mother convinced me for most of my childhood that if I didn't pee when I had to, I would explode...just like her "friend" Susie! Years later, she admitted she made it all up just so my sisters and I would go to the bathroom before we left the house.

My mom used to "check" to see if I was full enough from a meal by feeling my stomach. If I hadn't eaten enough she'd say "oops! I think you missed a spot riiight here!" I would always try and stick my belly out as far as I possible so I could be done eating and go play. :)
I used to think that everyone had a ball of hair wound tight inside their head. The ball would unwind and our hair would grow, but when there was no more ball of hair, you went bald. Everyone had different size balls of hair in their cranium and depending on how big your ball was, determined how long until you went bald.
