One time when I was young I lost my voice and my older brother told me that I had to look for it so I looked all over the house for it but I couldnt find it.
When I woke up the next morning my voice was back, I had thought that while I was sleeping my voice had found me and decided to come back to me.

When I was little I was rather prone to injuring myself. When my grandfather would clean out cuts and scrapes with peroxide he assured me that the sting meant it was working. I used to believe that I could lay eggs if I squatted down, shut my eyes and clucked like a chicken. I was so proud of myself thinking that I would be able to feed my family and friends. It was only later that I realised that the eggs I had been laying were plastic toy eggs that my mum and dad sneakily put underneath me.
I used to believe that the saliva that we were born with would have to last us our whole lives. I was extremely worried that if I ate something that tasted bad that I would end up being a stinky old lady with vile breath one day!

When I was young I thought that by drinking orange soda I could run much faster then I normally could. My father did nothing to disprove this theory, often times buying me soda and telling me to run to a point and back while he counted. According to him I ran 100 yards in 10 seconds

I used to be very terrified of dreamcatchers. My grandma gave me one for my birthday and nailed it on the wall above the front end of my bed. I asked her how could it catch bad dreams? She told me the magical beads and knots would suck them up like vacuum and seal them inside forever. So I asked her if it wooshes while sucking up bad dreams and she replied with a yes. Every night I would worry and sweat if I will see it wooshes and moves while catching nightmares! I always gaze at knots and beads if I can see any nightmares inside them. My fear got worse and worse so my dad had to put it down in the box so I can sleep with ease.
I used to believe that if you slept with a bandaid on you would die, since obviously to leave one on for more than a few hours meant you were hurt REALLY bad. I remember forgetting to take one off one night and being shocked that morning when I woke up alive.
