I used to believe…

When I was really little I got this insane idea that if I pressed my legs together really hard all night while I slept, they'd fuse together and I'd have the lower half of a dolphin.

I have no clue where that came from actually, or what purpose it would server, all I ended up with was a rash.

I thought girls peed out of a little hairy stick that popped out of their bottom when they needed to go.
This was because I had been taken into the ladies when Iwas about 4 and had stood beside the toilet while my mum had crouched over the pan and had a pee.
What I had seen was her peeing and her pubic hair caught up in the flow and when she stopped it disappeared back up into her bum.
I thought that this stick popped out at the moment you started to pee and then disappeared again when you finished but how did it know when to pop out?
I thought this was the way girls peed until I was about 9 and saw a girl take her pants down in front of me and pee.

I used to belief that after I'd gone to bed and the light was turned out there were these lights that came and turned into weapons and killed you if you didn't go to sleep but first would kill all your family and friends....I used to try to get to sleep as fast as possible, and sometimes actually imagined i was seeing them...I called it 'the nightmare when I'm awake'

after numerous dreams of being able to breath under water, i believe i could, so i often tried it, i was convinced i could, but had not yet figured out how to do it, i wound up with lots of mouth fulls of water

When I was little, I believed that when you went pee, your pee would be the same color as your last drink (i.e if you had grape soada, you would pee purple) Since I always drank lemonade (yellow) i never noticed that if i drank orange soda, my pee wasn't orange...

When i was little, maybe 3 or 4, i used to think that tears actually weren't real, they were just a myth. Once i got really mad at my parents, and i went off and started crying tears! i was so surprised, i started crying even more.

When i was about five, i used to think that if i strain too hard to get the poo out, i might poo out my brain.! I always did a few mathematics problems after going to the bathroom to make sure my brain was still there!

hello im 14yrs old my name is trey i used to believe that i could fly i used to watch superman fly and other heroes when i was 12 i wanted to fly so bad i thought if i could closed my eyes as hard as i could and just foucs really hard i could fly i used to jump of benches to try to fly but i couldnt i got so mad i felt like i had super strenght I believe in powers i do

I used to believe that my whole life was a dream, giving me a complete view of what my life would be like. it would seem to laast years, complete with my own dreams inside this dream. And when in my life i died i would just wake up as a tiny little baby with complete knowledge of what would happen in my life. I still belive this a tiny bit....

I used to believe their were people in my tummy that yelled at me to eat that was the growling sound me mom told me this to get me to eat they are called " tummy guys"

When I was little i misheard the famous lines from Romeo and Juliett. I thought she was saying "Romeo, Romeo where fart thou Romeo." I was confused and thought he just had really bad gas.

When I was little, I thought that digested food would stay in my stomach and play on and in my insides. They would form their own little communities, which usually consisted of a slide and a tent. When I got annoyed with one of them (they would talk to me, you see), I would tell them that it was time to be passed, and say my farewells to them. When they left, their girlfriend/mom/kids, etc..would get so upset that they would pass, too. I thought this was the natural progression of how people passed food.

Why yes, I was an odd child.

when i was asleep i dreamnt about stuff that would happen....and when that happend i told myself 'hey...didnt i dream this?' i felt as though i did it before and then since i knew wat was gonna happen i would change it.... freaky hey?

i still do believe this but i have 2 things:

1:whenever we play a game like tips or bullrush i place my right hands finger tips down on the ground and i reckon i can make a illusion of my self to the other person so then i can run fastaround them..

2:when i hide in shadow i hold my breath and keep still because i rekon i am a perfect camaflager or watever....

A girl I knew had a selection of very, VERY weird beliefs, some carried on until she was about 11.
Both of us watched a particular show (Dragonball Z) and the characters on it could fly and do other such super-human feats. For months (aged 9ish) she reported that her favourite character visited her at night and whisked her off on adventures. Me and my sister were truly weirded out when she recounted her night-time journeys as we knew it wasn't possible. She apparently didn't.
The same girl also believed that she could fly (a belief I'd had, then dropped aged 5) and insisted on demonstrating to us her 'powers of flight' (the highest possible jump of a ten year old). She apparently also attempted to jump from her window, but was stopped in time to prevent her 'flight'.
She also harboured the belief that she was gifted with various special powers e.g. mind reading. I'm not proud to say I played along and encouraged her.
Like almost every other weird kid, I networked with other weird kids.

When I was younger, I thought that when you fell asleep, you would go into this factory and a nice little old lady would send you through a portal and you would dream. Sometimes, instead of a nice little old lady, there would be a witch and she woud give you a nightmare. I just remember imagining all these beds filled with sleeping children on conveyor belts.
