I used to believe that when I was about eight or nine years old, that when bouncing on a bed I could most defiantly hover, but certainly could not fly.

I used to believe…

When I was 2 or 3, my brother needed his tonsils out. Back then it was common practice for the other siblings to have them removed, too. I'l never forget the day, travelling in the car singing "I'm going to the hofala, hofala, hofala! I'm going to the hofala, hofala, hofala!" My grandmother asked me "What's a hofala?" Of course I responded with what I had been told "It's a place where you get jello and ice cream and pudding!"

I used to belive when i was 5 years younger, age 6 that if i didn't eat my vegetables i wouold get eaten up by them.

When I was little, my dad put up a bookshelf in our bathroom so we could read while we did our business. I used to sit for hours on the toilet reading, and when my mom was fed up, she told me if you sit too long on the toilet, your guts fall out. I believed it until recently.

My mom and I were standing in line at McDonalds, I asked her "What are those red dots on that guys face?" I am sure she must have answered acne, but somehow I heard AIDS, and for a long time believed that anyone with red dots on his/her face had AIDS. It must have been around the same time as we had the STD talk because one of my friend's wanted to be blood sisters and I said, "no, blood touching blood can give you AIDS!", and her mom was like, "I'm sure she cant give you AIDS, she doesnt have it," and I was like, "no, I'm pretty sure it is just the blood mixing with the other blood that gives it to you, one of you doesnt have to have it first." needless to say, we werent blood sisters.

i used to believe that when you sucked on a Halls lozenge, that those vapor thingies would actually appear to clear up your stuffy nose and sore throat just like it showed in the commercials.

Mum used to tell me not to drink whild having food in my mouth, so i thaugt that we have one pipe for liquids and one for food, and that you could swallow the food/ liquid into the wrong pipe. I realized when I was 15 that this was wrong!

I used to belive that when I ate, all the food went into the stomach and stayed there. I thought that it was evil to eat food, I thought that the food, like potatoes, had they're own personallities, could talk and stuff like that. So when I ate another potato, I thought that the other potatoes would have a new friend to play with.xD

I thought that when you were asleep, you actually went to see a movie about yourself. But later I found out that the movies were just dreams

I used to believe…

A boy in my class made his little brother, then being three years old, believe he could fly. They were standing on their veranda, about three meters high, when he said "You can fly. Everyone can fly. Just jump, and you'll see!" And he jumped.

When I was about three or four years old, I believed I could shoot laser with my eyes. I would close my eyes, and squeeze them really close togehter. You know when you see that white flashing before your eyes? That was my laser. The worst is that my dad played along with me, so for years I thought I could shoot laser. I can't remember when I stopped believing - actually I just remembered some months ago :)

I used to believe that if I closed my eyes no one could see me, and I used to love butter. So I would go to the fridge, close my eyes, and eat butter. For some reason I would ussually get away with it, but I`m guessing thats because my parents could see the entertainment vallue in it, not because I was invicible.I also tried the same when I had cut the whiskers off my cat, I didn`t get away with that one, thats when I lost all faith in the system.

I used to believe there was some way to shrink yourself, and I had spent days trying to think of how I'd live normally. I made plans about using broken bits of pencil lead to write (I was in elementary school, obviously), wearing my Kelly dolls' clothes, and how I'd have to move into the hall closet so I wouldn't have to run all the way across my bedroom floor to get around. Also, the stairs would be an adventure every now and then, but mostly my mom would carry be back and forth. I even remember how I was worried about getting married and having kids in this state.

When I found out there was no way for me to become doll-sized, I actually cried. I had such high hopes...

because of that i would sit for hours trying to move the remote or pick up my clothes. it wouldn't ever work and i would just walk away dissapointed.

I used to believe that I was just another one of the guys and I copied everything my brothers did. One day I saw one of my brothers pee standing up and proceeded to attempt to do so as well, but it didn't turn out too successfully.
