I used to believe that when my foot fell asleep there were ants crawling up and down under my skin. I still call it "ants" whenever anything on me falls asleep.

My 5 year old cousin informed me that he gets his hair cut at "Fart Kids", where instead of cutting your hair, they fart it off.

When I was little, I went through a phase where I thought it was impossible to throw up if your mouth was closed. So whenever my stomach hurt, I walked around the house with my hand over my mouth.

I used to think farts were air you had breathed in and out loads of times and was 'used'

When I was 2 or 3 one of my favourite "books" was Lego toys catalogue and no one knew why, 'cause I didn't want the toys from there, I just kept looking at it. What fascinated me so much was a tiny photo of some toy spaceship that was long and had a big ball at one end.and because of its shape I thought it was a girl. It was "flying" (or just had a night sky background) and since it was a photo and not a drawing I was convinced it was proof you can fly.

When I was about 6, when I got thirsty, I would swallow the saliva in my mouth because I thought it was water and that it was enough to hydrate me

A friend of mine told me about a girl who, when they were around 5 or 6, was utterly convinced that pee was actually lemonade, but only when it was a man's pee. This girl claimed to have seen a video of it, confirming her belief. my friend and I still laugh about this today.

A boyfriend I used to have told me about something he believed when he was little. He went with his parents to the Walter Reed Medical Museum in Washington, DC. There were a lot of body parts in jars.

He knew most of the parts, like the lung or the leg. He asked his mother about the contents of a particular jar. "That's what makes you pee."

So for years he thought that a bladder in a jar in Washington, D.C. was a kind of central controller that determined when everyone in the United States had to urinate. I guess it would make sense, so not everyone would rush to the toilet at the same time.

When I was little, I used to believe that I could breathe under water. But the real odd part is, that I have quite vivid memories of actually breathing underwater; the cold and heavy sensation of streams of water streaming though my mouth and nose, down the windpipe and into the lungs, making the body all heavy and cold because of the water. I'm still unsure whether I actually inhaled water or not...

I used to think that celebreties and other famous people never used the bathroom! i guess the belief emerged out of the fact that at that point they hardly showed any actors or actresses visiting the bathroom in a movie!

When I was a kid I believed that a heart attack was caused by tiny grass-skirt wearing Africans inside your body throwing spears at your heart. I have no idea how I came up with this theory, but I held it tightly for years.

When I was seven, I used to believe that when a people said they "didn't drink" that they did not consume any liquids. I was pretty much perplexed, but figured it might be possible to get enough water from vegetables, fruits and other food products.

I used to believe that there were little workers inside of my stomach that would separate the food into different compartments as it came down from my mouth/throat. Otherwise, how would it know where to go?

When I was little, my younger sister and I would try to lift each other by the waists, simultaneously, thinking that this would allow us to fly. It never would work, and I attributed it to my sister not trying hard enough.

When I was a child, I had ingrown toenails that were very painful. Unfortunately, I misunderstood my parents and the doctor and was going around telling everyone that I had 'negro' toenails. I could never figure out how a black person had switched toenails with me, but it did explain the pain. This went on for months before a teacher heard me and set me straight.

i used to believe that if you run real fast and then jump. that you can fly
awsome... i was on a good one as a kid

When I was younger, I used to believe if you caught all your farts in a jar and then closed the lid real tight after and then caught a lightning bug in the same jar, that when the lightning bug lit up it would cause the fart gas to blow up.

When i was like 10 or 11 i had an extreme fear of getting herpes, after seeing a picture of them at my doctors office. For some reason i was firm in my resolve that i could get herpes from toilet seats and sharing drinks, so i would never sit down until i had a good 20 layers of TP on the potty and would check myself constantly by looking at the back of my throat (for some reason i thought they were bumps at the back of my throat) Finally i became tired of my obsession and rationalized that having herpes wouldnt be that bad because "they are in the back of your throat anyway"

When I was about 6 or 7, I didn't know anyone else in the world went to sleep but me. (Weird, i know) So one night, I woke up and walked into the dining room and stood there, baffled, because no one was sitting there like they usually are when I go to sleep. So, I (for some weird reason) went outside, and played with some frogs. Then I went back inside and fell back asleep in my bed. No one had any idea.
