When my sister hurt her right leg she hopped... wait for it... on her RIGHT leg ... so she wouldn't hurt the left leg and not be able to get around at all. She also somehow got a limp when she jammed her thumb in the door

When i was very young I got sick and started hallucinating, I would ask my mum what's that? (pointing to my hallucinations). She tried to explain that she couldn't see them too but I couldn't comprehend that so she would just say random things like, 'lamp post' or 'cat'. Funnily enough as soon as she said something that is what my hallucination would morph into.

When I was six or seven years old, I woke up one morning screaming for my mum because I was covered in red spots (chicken pox). I swore off chicken for months because I believed it was the chicken I had eaten the night before which had caused it.

Once, when I was about 8, I twisted a nerve and it made my left arm feel really weird and kind of numb. I remembered from science class that if your heart stops, the first thing to go numb will be your left arm. I completely freaked out and made my mom take me to the doctors immediatly! When we got there, the doctor told me I was not dying, that I just twisted a nerve and it would repair itself. And here I thought I was having a heart attack!

Whever I flatulated in front of my mother, she would ask me, do I have to go to the pot. So I thought it was the feces making all that noise up there.
i used to believe that you needed a certain amount of saliva to eat stuff. like you know how you swallow every few seconds automatically? i thought i was wasting spit that i needed to eat... so i would try not to swallow at all so that i would have enough saliva for my lunch! cos i never saw other people swallowing when i did

When I was younger I was convinced I could control the wind. I clearly remember trying to fly a kite on a perfectly non-windy day by talking to the air.

When I turned 10 my parents gave me their old bed and got a new one. The bed was a double so there was room for 2 people. 1 night i went to bed and i woke up with someone that i didnt know beside me (a younger cousin i'd never seen) and i was terrified. I began to believe that if i went to bed with an empty space beside me id wake up with a dead person next to me(I dont know how i got that idea). So i used to sleep on 1 side of the bed and cover the other side with pillows so there was no chance id wake up next to anyone.
I use to beleive farts were brown and in the shape oh a box. Man...

my neighbor told me that if i put pussywillows on top of my refrigerator and wished for something, the pussywillows would turn into that something. (strange neighbor!) i did it overnight and wished for star wars figures. the next morning, they were still pussywillows but i waited until about noon, checking every hour to see if they had changed.

When I was in Lower School I had a bizzare belief that I could influence the way people thought by "psychicly" telling them what to think. This mainly consisted of me just going "say the anwser is such and such" in my mind.
All this came from me thinking up jokes on the spot but being to shy to say them, then someone else would about 5 seconds after me thinking it.
Later on in my school life when the teacher was asking a question I used to try and make the other children say stupid things like "Quick Wilbert, to the Batmobile". After 10 unsuccessful atempts I gave up on my superpower...

whenever i got a stomach ache as a kid, i always pictured a mouse with blue overalls on pushing a wooden play block out of a shadow and into light. this mouse was in my stomach, of course, causing the ache.

I first encountered the word "rectum" in connection with having a thermometer put in there. That convinced me that I had a special hole there, specifically dseigned for having my temperature measured. That was clear to me for quite some time while I still only vaguely realized that poopoo somehow happened in that same general vicinity, without being at all sure that it came out exactly where the thermometer went in. Later when I became clear exactly where my doodoo comes out, I learned the word "anus" in association with that. Realizing eventually that the same hole is involved with both, I thought the two words were function-specific: that it was my anus for purposes of pooping but my rectum for purposes of temperature measurement. Later when I learned of a creation vs. evolution controversy, part of the foucs I thought of when contempleting it was as a question of whether God made my rectum as a a special place just to put a thermometer, or whether my anus evolved as a hole where I could doodoo. Guess it was more comfortable at the time, when thinking of any creator God, to think of him as an enabler of temperature-taking rather than as an enabler of crap-taking.
