I began sneaking them out of her desk and flushing them down the toilet.. until it broke the toilet. She was yelling at me and asked what I thought I was doing... "I didn't want you to die of AIDS" lots of bawling...
Well into adulthood I thought that a local anesthetic meant one from the area near the hospital..
You know how some diseases are named after the person who discovered them? Well as a kid I thought the person INVENTED the disease and wondered what kind of person would create horrible diseases on purpose
I thought when you got food poisoning it might someone had put poison in your food
I thought there was a disease "Bigpox" that was like Smallpox only more horrible..
AIDS was a condition where all the aids (eg bandaids, medicine, things given to you by doctors to help you get better etc) no longer worked on you.
